He married Sarah Louisa Smith on 24 January 1878, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1866 and lived in Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1910 and Centerville, Davis, Utah, United States for about 20 years. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 27 September 1933, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 76, and was buried in Centerville City Cemetery, Centerville, Davis, Utah, United States.
