She married Jens James Andersen on 11 October 1878, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 2 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1863 and lived in Logan, Cache, Utah, United States for about 20 years. She died on 26 January 1940, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Logan Cemetery, Logan, Cache, Utah, United States.

1859 · Logan is Founded

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield

Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.
