He married Permelia Mecham on 23 July 1865, in Snyderville, Summit, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Wasatch, Utah, United States in 1870 and Wallsburg, Wasatch, Utah, United States for about 40 years. He died on 22 October 1921, in Glines, Uintah, Utah, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Wallsburg Cemetery, Wallsburg, Wasatch, Utah, United States.
