She married Brigham Young Jr. on 1 October 1887, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. She lived in Fruitland, San Juan, New Mexico, United States in 1910 and Salt Lake, Utah, United States for about 20 years. She died on 6 December 1954, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 84, and was buried in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Millcreek, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

1872 · The First National Park

Yellowstone National Park was given the title of the first national park by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant. It is also believed to be the first national park in the world.

1872 · The Amnesty Act

A federal law which reversed most of the penalties on former Confederate soldiers by the Fourteenth Amendment. The Act affected over 150,000 troops that were a part of the Civil War.

1896 · Plessy vs. Ferguson

A landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court upholding the constitutionality of racial segregation laws for public facilities if the segregated facilities were equal in quality. It's widely regarded as one of the worst decisions in U.S. Supreme Court history.
