He married Henrietta McCune on 5 March 1890, in Payson, Utah, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 6 daughters. He immigrated to Sweet Grass, Montana, United States in 1948 and lived in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Canada in 1911 and Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for about 5 years. He died on 6 June 1944, in Cardston County, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 75, and was buried in Nephi, Juab, Utah, United States.
