He married Martha Hall on 1 December 1864, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Utah, United States for about 10 years and Apache, Arizona, United States in 1880. He died on 28 November 1904, in Guerrero, Chihuahua, Mexico, at the age of 60, and was buried in Guerrero, Chihuahua, Mexico.
