He married Margaret Ann Foster on 24 January 1856, in Usa, Palau. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Grantsville, Tooele, Utah, United States in 1900 and Provo, Utah, Utah, United States in 1910. He died on 19 April 1916, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah, Utah, United States.
