When David Eugene Wilcox was born on 3 April 1872, in Farmington, Davis, Utah, United States, his father, James David Wilcox, was 45 and his mother, Anna Maria Robinson, was 33. He married Anna Elizabeth Layne on 20 December 1894, in Cardston County, Alberta, Canada. They were the parents of at least 4 daughters. He immigrated to Sweet Grass, Montana, United States in 1937 and lived in Cardston County, Alberta, Canada in 1911 and Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for about 15 years. He died on 12 March 1939, in Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States.

1875 · A Treaty with Hawaii

In the Mid 1870s, The United States sought out the Kingdom of Hawaii to make a free trade agreement. The Treaty gave the Hawaiians access to the United States agricultural markets and it gave the United States a part of land which later became Pearl Harbor.

1876 · Battle of Littlebig Horn

Known as Custer's Last Stand, the Battle of Littlebig Horn took place on June 25 1876 and ended on June 26 1876. The battle was between the Lakota and Arapaho tribes and the 7th Calvary Regiment of the United States Army, headed by Colonel George Armstrong Custer. Custer was killed in the battle.
