He married Emma Rachel Kemp on 24 August 1910, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1909 and lived in Lewiston, Cache, Utah, United States in 1950. He died on 8 July 1968, in Clinton, Davis, Utah, United States, at the age of 84, and was buried in Lewiston City Cemetery, Lewiston, Cache, Utah, United States.
