He died on 8 June 1922, in Beaver, Beaver, Utah, United States, at the age of 74, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Beaver, Beaver, Utah, United States.

After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.
