Mrs. Ida Hobley Dies Suddenly (Special to The Post-Register) RIGBY, June 28,--Mrs. Ida Wilkins Hobley, 54, lifelong resident of the area, died suddently Wednesday night at her home in Garfield of a heart attack. She had spent the afternoon quilting and visiting with friends. She was born at Coltman, a daughter of Jesse Wilkins and Fanny Jane Burton Wilkins, the oldest child in a family of seven. She spent her early girlhood at Coltman and attended the Coltman schools. Active in the LDS church, she served as president of the MIA for several years. Sept. 8, 1922, she was married to Bert Hobley, who survives. To this union five sons and daughters were born, all of whom survive including Fay Brooks, Los Banos, Calif.; Jay Hobley, Terreton; Reva Hill, Lorenzo; Elda Sucher, Idaho Falls and Eva Hobley, Garfield. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Fanny Wilkins, and the following brothers and sisters: Charles, Ralph and Ray Wilkins of Coltman; Clara Lords, Garfield, and Louella Gibson, Pocatello. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Garfield LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop William Holland officiating. Friends may call at the Garfield Chapel from 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time and prior to that at the Eckersall Funeral Home in Rigby. Interment will be in the Grant Central cemetery under direction of the Eckersell Funeral Home.
