He immigrated to San Francisco, California, United States in 1934 and lived in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for about 5 years. He died on 9 June 1984, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 81, and was buried in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
