He married Harriette Perry on 22 February 1882, in Mountain Dell, Uintah, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. He immigrated to Babb, Glacier, Montana, United States in 1939 and lived in Alberta, Canada in 1916 and Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for about 5 years. He died on 1 August 1952, in Magrath, Cardston County, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 94, and was buried in Magrath, Cardston County, Alberta, Canada.
