He married Aurelia Peckham Jackman on 30 May 1839, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Florence, Douglas, Nebraska, United States in 1850 and Salem, Utah, Utah, United States for about 20 years. He registered for military service in 1866. He died on 4 May 1907, in Eden, Graham, Arizona, United States, at the age of 90, and was buried in Eden Cemetery, Eden, Graham, Arizona, United States.
