When Hannah Hood Hill was born on 9 July 1842, in Tosorontio Township, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, her father, Archibald Newell Hill, was 25 and her mother, Isabella Hood, was 21. She married Miles Park Romney on 10 May 1862, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 4 daughters. She lived in St. George, Washington, Utah, United States for about 10 years and Safford, Graham, Arizona, United States in 1910. She died on 29 December 1928, in Colonia Juárez, Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, at the age of 86, and was buried in Colonia Juárez Cemetery, Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
