Antonius Lang was christened on 5 January 1736, in Eich, Luzern, Switzerland as the son of Michael Lang and Salomea Gassman. He married Anna Maria Agatha Wiliman on 27 January 1766, in Eich, Luzern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 16 July 1804, in his hometown, at the age of 68.

His descendants lived there and adopted Lang as their surname.
