She married Jon Jonsson on 19 August 1792, in Medallandsthing, Vestur-Skaftafellssýsla, Suðurland, Iceland. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 22 June 1829, in Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Vestur-Skaftafellssýsla, Suðurland, Iceland, at the age of 77.
