She married Icabod Lewis Steeves on 22 December 1853, in Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. She died in June 1874, at the age of 39, and was buried in Saint John's Anglican Church cemetery, Prince, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
