When Jons Nilsson was born on 18 April 1714, in Vånga, Kristianstad, Sweden, his father, Nils Olsson, was 40 and his mother, Ingar Jonsdotter, was 40. He married Gunilla Rasmusdotter on 21 October 1743, in Vånga, Kristianstad, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Vånga, Vånga, Kristianstad, Sweden in 1746 and Arkelstorp, Skåne, Sweden for about 2 years. He died on 12 February 1787, at the age of 72.
