When Friedrich Aegler I was born on 5 December 1854, in Diemtigen, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Christian Aegler, was 30 and his mother, Susanna Gerber, was 29. He married Rosina Knutti on 29 October 1880. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 1 February 1906, in Diemtigen, Bern, Switzerland, at the age of 51.
