He married Elizabeth Jeanette Lyhan on 12 April 1945. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Leominster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States in 1940. He died on 7 October 1959, in Rome, Roma, Lazio, Italy, at the age of 38, and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, Los Angeles, California, United States.
