He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1850 and lived in Taylor, Apache, Arizona, United States in 1880 and Safford, Graham, Arizona, United States in 1900. He registered for military service in 1865. In 1848, his occupation is listed as cabinet maker, post-nauvoo. He died on 30 January 1903, in Pima, Graham, Arizona, United States, at the age of 74, and was buried in Pima Cemetery, Pima, Graham, Arizona, United States.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.

1848 · Fire Destroys the Temple

On October 9, 1848, an arsonists fire claimed everything but the outer walls of the Nauvoo Temple since the structure was made out of limestone and wood. It was meant to discourage the Saints that had fled to never come back.
