When Benjamin Lillard was born in 1767, in Fairfax, Culpeper, Virginia, British Colonial America, his father, Thomas Lillard Sr, was 42 and his mother, Anne Moore, was 25. He married Lucy Brown on 3 March 1799, in Culpeper, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Culpeper, Virginia, United States in 1830. He died in 1839, in Lewis, Missouri, United States, at the age of 72.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
