When Anders Olsson was born on 11 February 1720, in Vasen, Sövde, Färs, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Joran Cortsson, was 42 and his mother, Margretha Christophersdotter, was 32. He married Ingar Nilsson on 24 November 1754. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 27 May 1793, in his hometown, at the age of 73, and was buried in Sövde, Färs, Malmöhus, Sweden.
