He married Safronia Frances Ross on 6 May 1889, in Wayne, West Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He lived in Barboursville District, Cabell, West Virginia, United States for about 5 years and Barboursville, Cabell, West Virginia, United States in 1950. He died on 11 May 1951, in Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia, United States, at the age of 84, and was buried in Cabell, West Virginia, United States.

1868 · Impeach the President!
Caused by many crimes and breaking the Tenure of Office Act, Many Senators and House Representatives became angry with President Johnson and began discussions of his Impeachment. After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.
1868 · The Fourteenth Amendment
