When Lute Finau Lehauli was born on 10 August 1908, her father, Pita Leha'uli, was 28 and her mother, Tonga Palavi, was 22. She married Charles Tonga Raass about 1927. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 7 daughters. She died on 14 November 1989, at the age of 81, and was buried in Cypress, Orange, California, United States.
