Brief Life History of George Mikhailovich
When Grand Duke George Mikhailovich of Oldenburg of Russia was born on 23 August 1863, in T'et'ri Tsqaro, Georgia, his father, Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich Romanov, was 30 and his mother, Caecilia Auguste Zähringen von Baden Princess of Baden Grand Duchess of Russia, was 23. He married Princess Maria of Greece and Denmark on 30 April 1900, in Kérkyra, Corfu, Greece. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He died on 28 January 1919, at the age of 55.
