When Allan John Tonkin was born on 29 January 1940, his father, Wilfred Charles Tonkin, was 25 and his mother, Emily Elizabeth Keyte, was 23. He died on 31 January 2007, in Korumburra, Victoria, Australia, at the age of 67, and was buried in South Gippsland - West, Victoria, Australia.
