When Leonor Alvarez Hernandez was born on 27 October 1915, in Santa Cruz, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines, her father, Luis Buenaventura Hernandez, was 25 and her mother, Rafaela Alvarez, was 20. She married Francisco Alvarez Lasa on 24 May 1936, in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines. They were the parents of at least 1 son. She died on 4 February 1961, at the age of 45, and was buried in Santa Cruz, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines.
