He lived in Jackson Township, Union, Ohio, United States in 1880 and Cottonwood, Fergus, Montana, United States in 1900. He died on 22 August 1918, in Lankershim, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 77, and was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States.
