When Jane Tibbets was born on 27 August 1804, in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine, United States, her father, Theophilus Tibbetts, was 29 and her mother, Sarah Bailey, was 20. She married Sandford Clark about 1823. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. She lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1841 and Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States in 1851. She died on 14 March 1873, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 68.
