When Carmen Alvarez Lemus was born about 1866, in Choapa, Chile, her father, Anjel Alvares, was 33 and her mother, Prudencia Lemus de Alvarez, was 28. She married Santiago Baez Martinez on 27 July 1881, in Petorca, Chile. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 9 daughters. She died about 1912, in Chile, at the age of 48.
