When Martin Anderegg was born on 16 January 1657, in Wattwil, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, his father, Hans Anderegg, was 43 and his mother, Regula Abderhalden, was 33. He married Catharina Grob on 16 March 1684, in Wattwil, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 10 daughters. He died on 15 June 1740, in his hometown, at the age of 83.
