He married Maria Margaretha Schmid on 29 April 1749, in Neipperg, Brackenheim, Württemberg, Germany. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He lived in Washington, Pennsylvania, United States in 1820. He died in 1790, in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 66.
