When Paulus Kuenzler was born on 17 September 1747, in Sankt Margrethen, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, his father, Conrad Kuenzler, was 36 and his mother, Dorothea Kaestli, was 33. He married Anna Kaestli in 1782, in Sankt Margrethen, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 29 August 1818, in his hometown, at the age of 70.
