When Sientije Van Dulst was born on 2 June 1863, in Utrecht, Netherlands, her father, William Van Dulst, was 29 and her mother, Clasina Berger, was 22. She married Marinus van Markesteijn on 23 December 1885, in Utrecht, Netherlands. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 24 February 1944, in her hometown, at the age of 80, and was buried in Utrecht, Netherlands.
