He married Mait Persdotter on 1 July 1858, in Mora, Kopparberg, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He immigrated to Liverpool, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom in 1864 and lived in School District 5 Lost Creek, Deer Lodge, Montana, United States in 1910. He died on 31 March 1913, in Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Montana, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Montana, United States.

1836 · Remember the Alamo

Being a monumental event in the Texas Revolution, The Battle of the Alamo was a thirteen-day battle at the Alamo Mission near San Antonio. In the early morning of the final battle, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. Quickly being overrun, the Texian Soldiers quickly withdrew inside the building. The battle has often been overshadowed by events from the Mexican–American War, But the Alamo gradually became known as a national battle site and later named an official Texas State Shrine.

1854 · St. George's Hall

In 1854, St. George's Hall was completed. The site that it sits on is were the Liverpool Infirmary was previously located. The hall was built for entertainment.

1859 · Lancashire Rifle Volunteers

The Lancashire Rifle Volunteers started in the eighteenth century. Those that fought in the militia were selected by ballot. They were formed because of threat due to the Revolutionary War and the Napoleonic War.
