He married Vivian Ester Roberts on 3 August 1941, in Weatherford, Parker, Texas, United States. He lived in Justice Precinct 1, Tarrant, Texas, United States for about 20 years. He died on 3 March 1985, in Beaumont, Jefferson, Texas, United States, at the age of 74, and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, United States.
