When Niclaus Stucki was born on 27 March 1735, in Diemtigen, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Hans Stucki, was 44 and his mother, Elsbeth Wiedmer, was 44. He married Susanna Wiedmer about 1768. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 13 June 1809, at the age of 74.
