When Balbino Acosta Africano was born on 31 March 1908, in Rizal, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, his father, Pantalion Marcos Africano, was 17 and his mother, Theresa Domingo Acosta, was 15. He married Juanita Gangat Taganas in June 1927. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He died in January 1980, in Santiago, Isabela, Philippines, at the age of 71, and was buried in Santiago, Isabela, Philippines.
