He married Estelle Cassidy on 5 December 1929, in Japan. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He immigrated to Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1940 and lived in Washington, District of Columbia, United States for about 10 years. He died on 10 January 1980, at the age of 74.
