She lived in McDowell, West Virginia, United States for about 15 years and Kyle District, Cabell, West Virginia, United States in 1940. She died on 9 October 1985, in Martinsville, Virginia, United States, at the age of 96, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Martinsville, Virginia, United States.
