When Hanna Averell was born on 7 March 1781, in Alna, Lincoln, Maine, United States, her father, John Averill, was 28 and her mother, Mary Stewart, was 24. She married Captain David Colburn Sr on 9 August 1801. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. She lived in Pittston, Kennebec, Maine, United States for about 10 years. She died on 7 June 1830, at the age of 49.
