He married in Rheingrafenstein Johanne Ludovike zu Salm on 2 February 1750, in Schloß Dhaun, Kirn, Kreuznach, Rhineland, Prussia. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He died on 1 July 1793, at the age of 75.
