When Elisabeth Tribelhorn was born on 21 December 1755, in Herisau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland, her father, Hans Jacob Tribelhorn, was 29 and her mother, Magdalena Stricker, was 25. She married Johannes Preisig on 30 April 1779. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. She died on 30 June 1816, at the age of 60.
