Bertha Ackermann was born on 9 April 1847, in Sankt Margrethen, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland as the daughter of Josef Ackermann and Mar El Anderegg. She married Ulrich Künzler on 5 August 1875. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. She died on 21 January 1919, at the age of 71.
