He lived in Carter Township, Ashley, Arkansas, United States in 1860 and Cherokee, Texas, United States for about 30 years. He died on 20 March 1901, at the age of 59, and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Wells, Cherokee, Texas, United States.
