He married Margret Tripp about 1852, in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1854 and lived in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom in 1841 and England in 1870. He died on 6 February 1895, in San Francisco, California, United States, at the age of 65, and was buried in Colma, San Mateo, California, United States.
