He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1866 and lived in Brålanda, Älvsborg, Sweden in 1850 and Smithfield Election Precinct, Cache, Utah, United States in 1900. He died on 28 February 1934, in Logan, Cache, Utah, United States, at the age of 84, and was buried in Logan Cemetery, Logan, Cache, Utah, United States.
