He married Ann Brannack on 25 November 1917, in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in United States in 1949 and Greenwich, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States for about 5 years. He registered for military service in 1918. He died on 3 October 1955, in Union City, Canadian, Oklahoma, United States, at the age of 63, and was buried in Saint Mary Cemetery, Greenwich, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States.

Among many of the invetions exhibited there was the first Ferris wheel built to rival the Eiffel Tower in France.
